Christmas 2008

Christmas was un-eventful. Jayton was back to being a 6 year old boy Christmas morning. The kids woke up at 5:15 am- when Jeff & I got to the living room Jayton had already opened his stocking and all his presents from Santa. So, I did not get any pictures to scrap of Christmas morning. Since Jayton was sick on Christmas Eve, all the pics are of him laying on the couch.

* Kids on Christmas day in Kendrick

Christmas day we went to Kendrick to have Christmas with Jeff's dad since we had Christmas eve with my parents and Jeff's mom. It was a pretty laid back day. When we left Kendrick last night I was so tired and could not believe it was only 5:20 pm. I was ready for bed!

Today my friend Toni was in town and we were able to visit and then we went to see April & her new baby Jonny. He is so adorable. I held him & fed him and took some pictures. It was a very relaxing day. As Jonny slept in my arms I was ready to take a cat nap too......

* Jonny..... so adorable! I changed the pic to black & white-love it!

* Jonny's piggies with mom & dad's wedding rings!

POOR JAYTON.......

Our Jayton was sick all day today. It started this morning at 7:30- I heard someone getting sick in the toilet, and it was Jayton. It has lasted all day- the last episode was about 6:30 tonight while opening gifts with my family. We had the puke bowl right there for him. Poor little guy was so excited to open presents and tonight he just laid on the couch to open his gifts and just had no enthusiasm. I hope he feels more like himself tomorrow. I felt so bad for him...........

Good enough to eat

This afternoon the kids and I got into the Christmas spirit and created Gingerbread houses. (Jayton mostly enjoyed the frosting & candy decorations.) I assembled the houses & their trees. Then they each decorated their own house, their own creative way!

Our rising star

Jayton had his Kindergarten Christmas program last night. It was pretty stinkin' cute! Gotta love lil kids, not a care in the world! Just pickin' their nose or doing the pee dance while singing the merry holiday songs they have practiced for weeks to perform! Lucky for us- Jayton is a lil man so he was in the front row.....perfect for pictures.

Busy weekend- Again!

Ok- quick post! It was another busy weekend!
Friday- Worked my full time gig a few hours, then worked at CPS the rest of the day. That night saw twilight at 9:40-midnight! Love it- in love with Edward like every other women on earth.

Saturday- Jeff had the day off sooooo I went shopping, finally without the kids in tow. So I have the kids officially bought for. WHEW! Ashlyn had a friend spend the night so I had kids running around. I also started the calendar kit I am doing for CPS.

Sunday- Again, at CPS for the crop Cori & I have the 1st Sunday each month. I was busy making up the calendar kits to sell. Finished 5 so if you wanted one, get down to CPS soon. If they sell all 5 I will create more.

Lastly, I have my first layout done for the Got Sketch Mini class I am doing. It was a mini challenge. There was a bunch of suggestions to incorporate on the sketch and I attempted to do as many as I could. Here it is:

"and so the lion fell in love with the lamb"

Last night I finally saw 'Twilight' with Velvet & Cori- It was soooooo good. Seriously each actor in the movie portrayed the characters in the book perfectly. I think my outlook on the book is different from those that read the book. I listened to the book on audio so seeing the movie reminded me of the audio version. I love Edward!! and Cori loves James!! Rosalie was the totally the B*^@- that she was in the book- Alice was perfectly cast, and Jasper was a little odd in comparison to what I saw him as. I love how it was comical at times and so 'romantic'-awwww! I could totally watch it again. The funniest parts were when they went 'fast'- a little to low budget in that aspect. But, Edward & Bella had such a connection just like in the book- and the love was so evident. A must read & a must see!

Let the season begin....

I hope that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We stayed close to home and went to my mom & dads on Thanksgiving. Ate some turkey and discovered that Jayton likes cauliflower!! Jayton also kicked my brothers butt in UNO twice!

On black Friday a.m. I stayed home.....I did not see anything that made me want to get up early and be around rude shoppers just to save a couple bucks. Friday night Ashlyn danced at the Festival of Trees- everyone in her group did GREAT. There were so many people their that I am glad Cori & I took the girls early. At least I was able to see the trees this year & we left as soon as Ashlyn was done dancing, mainly because Jayton was hungry- so we went to the Strike & Spare and I had the yummy turkey noodle soup! Saturday I stayed home all day, basically because I was expecting a delivery that never arrived. It was a co-worker that I bought an item from, so we will see what the excuse is tomorrow when I get to work as to why it was not delivered. I have half of my Christmas cards stamped and ready for the mail. The other half I was hoping to finish today but all weekend I have had a headache. I have been popping ibuprofen like crazy! I managed to get the Christmas decorations up- the kids & I decided that we need a new tree. Ours is so pathetic and small! I was hoping to get my Teresa Collins Christmas mini book started this weekend- did not happen. I first have to read my bind-it-all instructions.....I will leave you with a few Christmas craft decorations I have made.

Just a picture frame with some holiday stuff on it!
* Just got a call from Jeff, he is at the ACDC concert in Tacoma tonight and he said that apparently he is a devil worshiper for being there.... I guess there are protesters with bull horns & signs! Come on it is ACDC- they are just pure rock & roll! I had to laugh!

what's happenin'?!

Well..... I had been busy making stuff for the store to display & sell at the CHS craft fair. I did discover that black is not a good fashion choice when you are sanding, sanding and more sanding!

Jayton has recovered well from his surgery. He has just a little hole as a 'battle scar' in his palate right behind his front teeth.....we will see what his plastic surgeon has to say when we visit in '09. Jayton did get a piece of apple up in the hole yesterday and I was trying to flush the darn thing out. He thought it was pretty funny when water would then fly out his nose! I faintly recall those days pre-palate repair when food & such would come out of his nose. Especially if he sneezed during feeding time- watch out! LOL!

I made one of the free snapfish 8 x 11 books that was announced on Oprah!

Friday night I have bunco with my girls! YEAH!

Saturday night a bunch of us plan to see Twilight.... cannot wait.

I hope to accomplish something this weekend- I need to put all the Halloween crap away, the decorations & costumes are all over the spare room upstairs waiting to be stored in the dormer. I also need to get some paint samples to figure out my big paint project that I am dreading beyond words.....I should also try to throw some excercise in there somewhere. I have been so bad! I should also try to finish at least one of my multiple crafty projects that I have started (see pic). Finally, Christmas...... uugghh. I hate trying to figure out what to buy. So far only Ashlyn is DONE.

* edit * OK.... Amanda reminded me that I also scrapbooked in the backseat of my Acadia while Jeff drove us to Portland. I made a lil mini scrapbook for the store. 3 words HEADACHE from hell - Zip Dry should be used ONLY in a well ventilated area.

THUMBS UP!

Jayton did AWESOME! The surgery went smoothly and the two teeth in his palate came out pretty easily and did not leave much of a fistula (hole). He was a little sleepy for awhile after we got home and he is not liking his soft diet too much but the popcicles are a BONUS! So now we just have to monitor his lil hole and see that his plastic surgeon says the next time we head to Portland for a clinic appt.

Today, tomorrow & the next

Well tomorrow morning is Jayton's surgery...... please be thinking of him! He is such a trooper, he is more concerned about missing a birthday party at 6:00 pm at McDonalds if he is not feeling up to going. Priorities-LOL!

Today I finished the final book of the Twilight series (Breaking Dawn)- if you have not read (or listen to audio books like I do) you better get on it! Soooooo good!!!!

Hopefully soon I will post some of the projects I have been working on- I made a snowman advent calendar- just need to add the #'s..... and I have to finish up my 2 Disneyland albums. I will post some of the layouts soon.

Lastly, Jeff & I are heading to Portland Sunday morning for a quick overnight trip. He won a Subaru contest through work so we have a nights stay at the Monocco, w/ dinner @ Pazzo Wine Cellar & breakfast @ Nordstoms included & then a fun shopping spree at Nordtroms on Monday courtesy of Subaru...... I love to shop!
