1st day

Today was the 1st day of school. Ashlyn is a 4th grader & Jayton started kindergarten!! They both did GREAT! and had lots of fun. I cannot believe how FAST Ashlyn is growing up, and my 'baby' is now in school..............

Singing in the rain.....

Yep that is right! It is pouring down rain here in Lewiston and I am singing a happy tune! and I will tell ya why...... I am a WINNER ! I scored some die cut cards from Teresa Collins. I am so excited! You all know how I LOVE Teresa and her designs.

You can seriously make a handful of cards in no time, which is so nice. You will have to check out her website and see all her collections and watch the demo videos that she recently taped. Now I have to get my hands on her Christmas acrylic stamps, I am loving those too.

On another note....I am as nervous as can be for my Jayton to start kindergarten on Wed. - I just pray that it all goes as smoothly as pre-school did and he will not be teased about his lip. That is something that he has yet to experience and I am not sure how he will handle it. ( Or how I will handle it ) Although we have discussed it & he can explain- I just do not know what will happen when that dreaded day comes. Kids can be cruel. But he was THE LADIES MAN at vacation bible school this summer! 'wink'

Well, hello there......

.... and what did you do this weekend?!



Friday: worked awhile, cleaned house- kids had haircuts.....then went to the Starship concert with Jeff, Tom & Angela..... word of advice: "do not drink Capt. Morgan's then beer" - 'nuff said!


Saturday: slept in, spent the day downtown looking at all the cars and hitting all the 'lil shops I never get a chance to check out, visited Kristi & Queenie at CPS, had lunch at Main St Grill ( the family & I) & then we all went home...... later that evening I went down to a crop at CPS & started my kids Disney albums! & listened to all the CRAZY kids (seriously kids!!) hanging out & being obnoxious on Main ST. cruisin the back loop since the main drag was closed......and smelling burnt rubber from burn outs.


Sunday: Jeff went boating & since the kids did not want to go I stayed home & mowed the lawn, weeded and hung out! I did a few more cards for my card swap I am in, and did a layout!! I also rented 'The Bucket List'. Wow! have to admit I cried......


That is all.... here is the layout I did, an old photo of Ashlyn. I have been doing layouts of some of my fave pics of her since all the layouts I did back in 1998 are horrible since I was just starting to scrapbook.......

6% & 2% & yearbook photo!!

What is 6% & what is 2%? Well that is the percentile chart range my lil man Jayton is in. He had his 6 year check up today and he weighs a whopping 39 lbs - he was 41 lbs, he has lost a couple lbs. (wish it were that easy for me!) and he is 41 inches tall so he is in the 6% for weight and 2% for height. I guess I should be thankful that he is even ON the chart at all since normally he is not. My lil guy can ONLY wear slim fit jeans and they have to be slim, no saying they are slim when in fact they are not- we have discovered that in our school shopping adventures! Hopefully one of these days Jayton catches a growing spurt!

This is hilarious.....you MUST try it. Jamie (Designs by Jamie had this on her blog) go to this "Yearbook Yourself" shop and laugh until you pee..... I had to share a few with you all!!

U know me....

Most everyone that reads my blog knows me pretty darn good and know that I am totally absurd sometimes. Reason being that this weekend was one of those weekends where I tend to:

1. worry

2. stress out

3. get depressed

Reason why I am totally absurd is because I just not do #1, which leads to #2 and then finally I am #3! I blame 1 - 3 on heredity, it is in my genetic 'make-up'!

But on the bright side I spend Saturday evening doing what I LOVE- scrapbooking & hung out with some F-A-N-T-A-S-T-I-C gals and finished a few layouts. Of coarse I still need to journal on a couple of them, it is my least favorite thing to do when it comes to scrapooking, but it is just as important as a GREAT photo- so I will share what I did and try to snap out of my slump.....

Friday: worked at the scrapbook store, I cleaned & organized. I came home and crashed for the evening.

Saturday: in the a.m. I did some overtime, then did some errands and Saturday night went to a birthday party for our friend Tom.

Sunday: I scrapbooked and relaxed

Tomorrow: Back to the grind!

AUGUST ALREADY!!

Can you believe that it is AUGUST.... where did our summer go? My lil man Jayton will be starting kindergarten in a few weeks, Ashlyn will be in 4th grade!! The summer literally flew by. It has not helped that I have had to do mandatory overtime all summer. Then with fall just around the corner Ashlyn's dance class starts back up and Jayton wants to do soccer- I do not know how families with more than 2 kids juggle it all?!

I have not been to creative the past couple weeks. I am itching to scrapbook, but then can't get the creative juices flowing. I need a crop or something- but then I have to make time to go to a crop! LOL! I really want to start scraping our Disneyland trip..... although it is hard to find cool Disney embellishments! I HATE cheesy stuff.

Saturday Ashlyn & I headed to Spokane for some power shopping and my poor girl was sick. I do not know what it was- my kids tend to get car sick, but not on the road to Spokane. I had to stop several times for her to get sick and then when we got to the mall she was just blah & could care less about clothes which is totally not her. So it was a fast trip, up & back. It was sad since I have not power shopped for awhile and had a whole list of stores to visit. I guess I should have went on Sunday- she was just peachy yesterday!

My FAVE show of all time is back on...... PROJECT RUNWAY! I rarely watch TV but this show is a must for me. Love it! You got to watch it- Wednesday nights on Bravo!
