WEEKEND WIND-DOWN

Another weekend down....and work begins again bright & early tomorrow. Alarm goes off at 4:45, & have to leave the house by 6:00 to catch the 6:15 shuttle to get to work at 6:30. The parking garage is getting closer & closer to completion......HOORAY! and the bonus is a new workout facility. I had to quit the gym due to the shuttle schedule so it will be nice to get back into a workout routine. I can feel by body sagging from the lack of exercise......

Saturday night I went to Crop Paper Scissors for a fun crop night.....we ordered chinese and I managed to complete 10 layouts.

Friday night April 4th is the FUN luau crop at the store which = great music, yummy food and more scrappin'........

This coming week I am starting a totally cool online class with Janna Wilson (she's awesome!) - you too should sign on! It is called Adventures in Crafting and the sneak peeks so far have me very excited. Kristi O signed up and will be doing it too! HOW FUN!

On a sad note a good friend of mine lost his younger brother in a tragic fire....the funeral is Tuesday....I do not do well at funerals, but I still plan to attend. Keep his family in your thoughts & prayers during this difficult time.

OVERPACKED?

Ok.... I think we took everything but the kitchen sink to scrapbook camp. I stumbled across this picture that I forgot I took of my vehicle prior to departure. This is an 8 passenger vehicle, converted to a 3 passenger for Cori, Rene' & I. You will notice that it is crammed with all our merchandise from back to front, top to bottom. Obsession? NAH! Passion? OH YEAH!!

Layouts from retreat

I finally took the time to take some pictures of a few of the layouts I did at the 4 day scrapbook retreat I went to. The pictures are not that great.....still trying to figure out a way to photograph then decent, since my scanner is not 12x12. So any suggestions would be wonderful! My camera is a Nikon D40 if that helps to give tips. Anyway, enjoy! (Also, some of the journaling is not finished yet on some of the pages).

As you all know I am a huge supporter of cleft Advocate. They were a savor for me when Jayton was born. Thanks to Oprah's BIG give- the organization was awared $4000.00! I just HAD to share this AWESOME news!! Really warmed my heart to know that the money is going to such a GREAT organization.

We are home from sunny CA & Disneyland......however I leave early tomorrow for 4 days of scrapbook camp! YEAH! But, I had to share a quick pic from the trip until I can post and share more. Here is Splash Mountain- the look on the kids faces is priceless........................

Ready or not

I guess I am ready for my upcoming adventure. We are heading to sunny CA on Friday to visit Mickey & his friends. I have the kids packed, I am packed 'in my head', just have to literally shove it all in the luggage. Speaking of which we had to buy all new luggage. The stuff we had was thrashed. I tell you the airlines are not luggage friendly. Jeff & I have taken a few trips the last few years and the luggage has fared well but the cruise did them in. Anyway, I am just waiting for Jeff to have me help him pack, it is inevitable- the plea will come for packing support.

I am also proud to say that I am packed & READY!! for my scrapbook retreat..........hopefully I can cram all my stuff, Cori's stuff & Rene' stuff in my Acadia & still have room to sit.

The only crafty thing I have done the past week is a mini baby album that I made for my friend Matt Johnson who was just blessed with a new baby girl. It all fits inside a Pinecone Press tin container and it has an accordian album for them to put pics of their sweet little girl Seeley.
