1 week

It is now only 1 week until we fly out to the 'Happiest Place On Earth'.....and guess what I caught?! Yep, a cold. So needless to say I will be loading up on all kinds of meds for the next week.

Remember-Cori & I's crop at the store on Sunday 10 - 4 (Crop Paper Scissors ).

The Definiton of Crop
To Crop: 1. To cultivate an abundance of photos in such a way that it appears aesthetically pleasing to other croppers. 2.a. A recent addiction, in which the addict convinces their spouse that it is a necessity of life, which without it all domicile harmony will be jeopardized. 2b . a subconscious way by spouses to finally acquire more tools than their spouses. 3. A ploy by those companies whose sticker stands, formerly located at the end of card aisles, to sell more stickers and turn a small enterprise into a major section at department stores (i.e. Michaels) 4. An additional ploy by magazine owners to produce yet another line of magazines for another subculture. 5. Spousal stress reliever (as in "Honey, I'm going to crop") this in turn relieves stress in the spouse knowing the loved one will be occupied for at least 5-6 hours (min). 6. sim. To stay away, back off. (as in "Kids, I'm going to crop") meaning stay away and ask Dad (or Mom) if you want anything. 7. an attempt to convince children that cropping is more cool than power tools. (yeah, right!)

On a sad note.....the Legendary Boyd Coddington passed away-he is an Idaho native and a 'Street machine GOD!' His talents will be missed...........

Countdown to Disneyland

We are down to the wire, Disneyland is just around the corner. I do not know who is more excited, me, the kids or my hubby who has been on the computer making schedules and reading all about it (he has been there before, just not with the kids). Had to add some Disney tunes to really set the tone and get you all excited for us too!

10 days & counting............................

February kit club

I had some spare time to work on the February kit club layouts......with the kits each month I have been doing layouts of Ashlyn when she was little since her scrapbooks from 8 years ago are not my best work- so doing a few of my fave pics on layouts has been fun. Here they are.....

Putting a price on LOVE?!

How can a person put a price on something that they just love to do? I love to scrapbook and this is where 'putting a price on love' comes into play. I have been working on a wedding scrapbook for a co-worker , her daughter was recently married in Mexico. Neither of them scrapbook so it was easy for me to say yes I can do this- now if they did have a scrapbook background the answer would have been no way. Anyway, to the dilema.... I am almost done. I have a couple titles pages to do and VIOLA! Now the cost- There are 90 pieces of cardstock, printed and plain......misc. embellishments and time. I think figuring out the total will be harder than actually working on the album. Here are a few pics of what I have done.

Did ya miss me? I am back.....

We arrived home from our trip to Portland late last night. What a whirlwind....here are the highlights.
1. Shopping was fanstastic! the only downfall to living in such a small town like Lewiston is the lack of GREAT shopping! Of coarse I bought the kids a lot of clothes-I am bummed thought the Crocs I bought Ashlyn for only $13.75 are a bit too small, so bummed. It was such a great deal on them too. I got myself more scrapbook stuff ( imagine that!)
2. So so so so thankful for Lewiston traffic, I could not handle the Portland way of life. Whenever you get road rage in Lewiston just think about the poor saps in the BIG cities.
3. So tired of fast food.....McDonalds, Chuck E Cheese, Red Robin, the mall food courts. Give me a plate of fruit & veggies my palate needs relief.
4. Finally, Jayton's appointment was wonderful....... surgery free another year. Well, at least a big one anyway. He has lost one of his ear tubes so there is fluid. I had to make an ENT appt. with the local doctor to see if a new set of tubes is in his future- but that surgery is a breeze so that does not count as a 'surgery'. But his plastic surgeon said his nose is perfect, he does not have a typical nose that most bilateral cleft kids develop. His lip is great for now. They anticipate an Abbe Flap when he is in his teens (which is horrible!!!!) but I will not worry about that now. One day at a time. So, we are free for another year. When his baby teeth start falling out we will see if a bone graft is needed, palate expander?, jaw advancement?, braces for years & years......................etc. etc.
5. That is it.....until next time!

a lil this & that.....

We are heading to Portland tomorrow morning for a quick trip. Jayton has a clinic appt. with his cleft team (on Tuesday) to see what is next. My gut tells me we will have a surgery free year but we will wait and see. The bonus for the trip (thanks to all my friends giving me gifts cards for my birthday) I get to do some 'retail therapy' - a saying from my good friend Kristi. Of coarse we also have to take Jayton to Chuck-E-Cheese....I am a kid at heart, love to play all the games! Tonight I am hoping to head down to Crop Paper Scissors and scrap a little for the 'Smart girls crop'. I have only a few pages left to do in the wedding album I am creating for a co-worker, then I have to figure out the cost. Today I took the kids to The Bee Movie, it was cute, and delivered Kristi her belated birthday present since she was at CHA for her birthday. Kristi also gave me my birthday gift. I was in heaven.....she gave me the make-N-take she created at Teresa Collins booth!! I am so excited for her product to arrive at the store. I also got a new Cricut cartridge. I am soooooo spoiled! and Kristi sent me home with a ton of catalogs from CHA to paw through while we travel for 6 longs hours to Portland! Ta Ta......
