Another passion....

Many of you know that I am involved in cleftAdvocate which is an online resource for those born with facial differences, created by Debbie Oliver (who is an inspiration). cleftAdvocate is a program of AboutFace USA. I stumbled across this website when Jayton was born with a bilateral cleft lip and palate and have been part of their community ever since. I also have travelled to Las Vegas for the conference that is held there each summer. Anyway, Aboutface USA has created a video that speaks volumes and I just had to share. Although Jayton is not in this particular video, his picture is in several literature brochures regarding facial difference.

11 years....

Today is my 11 year wedding anniversary! Jeff & I have been together since June of '92. I cannot believe that it has been 11 years already...... and we have two kids! Last year for our 10 year anniversary we went on a 7 day cruise. This year we are going to go see Weird Al in concert......

I love you Jeff! Let's see where life takes us in 11 more years.

Last camping trip of the season.....

.....well we had our last camping trip of the season! We went to Boulder Creek with the Leiterman family, Sandvick family and Cori's parents (my Aunt Karla & Uncle Wayne). The weather was a little chilly - BUT- it would not have felt like camping without the frigid weather. It only rained one day so that was spent playing card games. I took a couple 4-wheel rides which I love to do...... played quarters, sat by the fire and just plain relaxed! Jayton fell in the creek TWICE! So I had to dry shoes over the fire. Ashlyn drove Caylie's 4 wheeler which she was initially scared to do. Here is a slide show of our fun-filled cammping trip! Bet you wish you were there too!!
