Ready Set Go

This is what my scrapbook room currently looks like. A mess! But it is an organized mess (somewhat)!?! Reason..... scrapbooking this weekend at a private retreat organized by Michelle at her moms house. It is going to be awesome! I plan to work on the kids Disneyland albums & just get them both finished!!!

In other news.....Jayton has his surgery scheduled to remove them nasty teeth in his palate. I am upset not only that this is going to cost $$$$ but I hate having to put him under anesthesia AGAIN. I think this will be the 8th time he will be going 'under'! I hate it- and this is a lil surgery in comparison to some in the past. But, I still get worked up about it.

Lastly, I am listening to the audio book TWILIGHT - oh my god! LOVE IT! All my friends have read the book (hate to read, prefer being read to) & they want to see the movie in November when it comes out- I am on disk 9- with only 2 disks left! I cannot wait to get back to work tomorrow & listen to the rest!

LAST CAMPOUT

We had our last camping trip of the year this weekend. We went to Boulder Creek......It was fun! We initially had some GREAT weather- then the rain came. Friday a bunch of us went on a 4-wheelin' ride which I love to do. The bummer was so much of the area has been logged most of the trails are gone & it is not so pretty anymore. Saturday when we went for a ride we got caught in a horiffic rain storm.....we were prepared for rain, but not for what rain came! We were all soaked, but it was still a blast! With rain comes mud- & HUGE puddles.......At night around the fire there was a little fire surfin'- they were NUTS! I stayed safe behind the lens of my camera and reminded the kids not to try this at home!!! One night the men kept trying to out do each other by making a TALL fire- they were playing reverse Jenga- trying to stack wood on top of wood and then it would collapse. Then they would try again! There was also some dancin' around the fire- a lil Camel Walk by Southern Culture on the Skids!!! Here are some pics of the weekend.

SPOOKTACULAR shopping.....

Yep, today was the Spookatcular extravaganza at the Goodwill. Cori, Caylie, Jayton, Ashlyn, JEFF! & I were there in line at 8:30 waiting for the store to open at 9:00. Halloween is my all time favorite holiday so I love to stock up on costumes & decor. I think we all did well with our finds. I already had my costume for this year so I was able to find items for future Halloweens or friends who are in dire need for a costume. I think the word is out that Jeff & I are having our annual Halloween party (I think this is the 5th year?)

So basically if you know us & we know you- consider yourself invited!

Saturday night.... October 25th

Costume required.... we will have munchies.... B.Y.O.B

Those stinkin' teeth

Not my teeth, but Jayton's teeth. The two special little teeth that barely are poking through his hard palate...... well those stinkin' teeth are not good, and need to be removed or there could be issues later. It has been well over a year since I discovered the teeth playing peek a boo and brought them to the attention of his plastic surgeon in Portland. He said leave them in unless they start to bother him, because they will eventually fall out.
Needless to say they have not receive the special attention and care that his other teeth receive and have turned sour on us. His orthodontist & dentist want them out of there. But, we had to get in touch with his plastic surgeon and get his take on the issue. We are not scheduled for another team visit until February and taking the teeth out will create a fistula. The issues with clefts are very complex. All the physicians play a role in Jayton's care and have to work together so basically they are not stepping on each other toes and ruining anothers 'plan' they have for treatment stages.
So it is a waiting game. Hope to hear from Jayton's plastic surgeon soon. Living in such a small community is so hard when issues like this arise. We do not have a cleft team like larger cities do so I have to play the role of the middle man and keep my lil ducks in a row & 'in the know' with the plastic surgeon being in Portland, ENT in Pullman & the speech therapist, dentist & orthodontist here in town.
I will keep you all updated about those stinkin' teeth.............. ' smile'!
