PRESENTS IN THE MAIL.........

Don't you love, love, love getting presents in the mail and not bills or junk. I know that I do and today I received a fun package just for me! The box was full of my most fave things in the world. Yep, you guessed it! SCRAPBOOK STUFF!! All the goodies were from Teresa Collins who I just adore. I love visiting her blog and reading about her weight loss success for the last year and to see what fun projects she has created. She is very genuine and I think that is one of the reason I have been drawn to her products. Especially the 'Extreme Boy' line she created for Junkitz. Love it! Perfect for my Jayton, finally a boy line that is not on the baby side. Anyways, I read her blog often and make comments here and there and that here and there won me the goodies! I was completely spoiled and cannot wait to dig in and create with everything...... though I should pack it away and take it with me to the scrapbook retreat ( that is less than a month away ) HOORAY!! Anyway, visit Teresa's blog her link is on the left- you will just love her!!

Whirlwind weekend.....

I had a whirlwind weekend.....Friday I went to Moscow to check out the newly opened Old Navy. I also had to do some damage at Michaels. On the way home Ashlyn & I went the Pullman route and stopped at a market with lots of fun shabby chic stuff, I bought a few things. It was just neat to check everything out. Friday night Ashlyn had a birthday sleepover so Jayton & I watched High School Musical 2!!!! Got to love those musicals. The kids are watching it again right now. Saturday I spent the whole day at Crop Paper Scissors for the Shriners crop. Even though it was our first attempt at a fundraiser we did really well. I met some great girls, the store was busy, busy! And I was able to accomplish making Ashlyn's birthday invites, ( 4 ) two page layouts, and I altered letters- the letters spell 'EAT' for my kitchen- I am proud of what the store was able to do for the Shriners. Kudos to Kristi & Jan!!! Today was shopping day and I started cleaning and organizing my scrap room- bad idea cleaning my scrap room, it is destroyed! It will be a multiple day job. I am not great at organizing. A little overwhelming to say the least. Right now I can't wait to hit the hay............

CHARITY CROP

Crop Paper Scissors is having a charity crop Saturday August 18th it is from 11:00 am - 11:00 pm ..... 12 hours of cropping to benefit a great organization!! The Shriners Hospital for children. The cost is $20 and all proceeds will go the the Shriners organization. There will also be a silent auction of hand crafted items & other suprises. Call 743-2014 for a reserved seat!
My son Jayton who is 5yrs old was born with a bilateral cleft lip & palate. Meaning his lip was split in two spots and he did not have a palate whats so ever. When Jayton was born the cleft was a total surprise and we were not prepared, we were scared about what the future would hold for our precious little guy. However, a miracle happened and the local Shriners contacted us and said they wanted to help Jayton. That day was the beginning of many 'wonderfuls' for Jayton. When Jayton was 3 months old we travelled to the Portland Shriners hospital and he had his first surgery. His first repair was on his lip, gumline and hard palate. The next major surgery was when Jayton was 12 months and this was to repair his soft palate. Jayton will have many more surgeries in the years to come. I cannot begin to express my gratitude for what the Shriners have done for Jayton and our family. They are a wonderful organization with specatular physicians and a staff with huge hearts. This crop is just a small step to say thanks to the Shriners for what they do, not only for Jayton, but for ALL the children they provide support to.

8 RANDOM THINGS..........

We have to post these rules before we give you the facts.*Players start with eight random facts/habits about themselves.*People who are tagged write their own blog post about their eight things and include these rules.*At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged and they should read your blog.

1. I have to wet my toothbrush before I can brush my teeth. My husband thinks that is so odd, but that is what I have always done.
2. I always have my mouth open, when I am concentrating, watching a movie, sleeping- name it my mouth is open- probably some medical thing I am not aware of or just a stange habit!
3. I go the speed limit as it is posted...... never over, never under! I get angry at those who speed.
4. Love photography! Love looking at photos others have taken. I think it would ROCK to be a professional photographer.
5. As a child I raced co-carts for about 3 yrs. I had sponsers and my # was 56!
6. My bed needs to be made everyday...... I hate to go to bed in an un-made bed. It is just not right.
7. Growing up (teenage) I had the messiest bedroom ever! Clothes everwhere, on the floor- clean or dirty, I just did not care. Now as an adult I am obssesive about clutter. I despise it. I am always cleaning and picking things up. It amazes my parents!
8. I have yet to have a cavity..........

Now I am tagging Cori Jo!!

MMM MMM GOOD!!

Last night I had the best meal.... a little wine, appetizers, salad, the most unbelievable chicken dish ever and to top the evening dessert. Where did I feast on such a scrumptious meal? Henry J's. This was the first time Jeff & I had gone, it was a dinner with his work (paid for by Subaru) & since it is not a place we would normally take the kids to we hadn't try their goods...... I must say I will be back! My good friend April was our waitress- and she took great care of us, she knew what I would & would not like to eat, now that is service!! So, if you have yet to try Henry J's I recommend it......beats the heck out of a quarter pounder meal at McD's!

SUPER MOM.......

......if only I had the 'powers' too! Seriously, I have been super mom this week-though my kids have yet to refer to me as a 'SUPER MOM'. My cousin, daycare provider, scrappin' buddie & friend decided to take a week off and do a little vacation fun! So, I had to take some time off of work. Monday & Tuesday Kristi O's daughter Savannah (such a sweetie ) watched the kids for me and then I took the rest of the week off. Wednesday I took the kids to the movies and then went to help Toni do some packing for her move (sob sob!) Thursday I took two extra kids along with my own to Moscow to the water park. Along the way I made a detour to Paper Pals to get some goods- they were having a SALE- My favorite four letter word.... and I went home with some great stuff to play with. That is the highlights of my Super mom week thus far. Today we are heading to Kendrick for a visit with Jeff's family- his cousins are in town on their way to Sturgis. I hope to get to do some creating, I am just itching to do all the things I have been creating in my head. I did finish three little mini albums to donate to a silent auction fundraiser.... info coming soon with pics! If you get a chance check out Kristi's blog- she has some pics from CHA- how I wish I had been there- it is a vacation of a lifetime..... though I do not tell my hubby that. Oh, Oh and my crop is Sunday at the store ( Crop Paper Scissors ) 10 - 4!!! Come create.................
